Learning programs are available at U.S. ski and snowboard resorts all winter and many of the best deals are in January. If you are a newcomer, Bring a Friend along and learn together. If you are a loyal enthusiast, Bring a Friend to your favoriteocation for lessons from a pro.

A number of states offer school children special opportunities called “Passport” Programs. These enable youngsters an affordable way to ski and snowboard at resorts in the respective states. The programs vary. Typically, parents pay a small administrative fee for the "passport" booklet that includes many free offers. Here are some examples provided by several state.
If you're just getting into skiing and snowboarding you may not have all of the apparel that you need.
